It’s been practically 15 years since Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was punched by a random bar patron whereas filming the primary season of “Jersey Shore.”
“I awoke and I felt like a sufferer,” Polizzi displays in an unique interview with Web page Six alongside co-star and BFF Jenni “JWoww” Farley, who chimes in, “You had been a sufferer.”
Within the fourth episode, an inexplicably irate man swings at a then-21-year-old Polizzi, knocking her to the bottom and prompting most of her castmates to retaliate — together with Farley.
“I simply wanted to guard her that evening,” she says, acknowledging the crew’s collective response to the headline-making assault at Beachcomber Bar & Grill in Seaside Heights, N.J.
“It … was instinctual the place I hit the man again,” Farley provides.
Although the punch was infuriating, it supplied area for the unique solid — together with Polizzi, Farley, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, Angelina Pivarnick, Mike “The State of affairs” Sorrentino, Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro — to kind a good household bond that has lasted greater than a decade.

“That one was an enormous one for us,” Farley, now 37, says of the assault on Polizzi, now 35. “Grabbing her and bringing her to the lavatory, that’s after I was like, ‘I actually do love this lady’ — from that second on.”
Recalling Farley’s visceral protection of her, Polizzi marvels, “It was so good.”
Even earlier than sustaining the blow, Polizzi had a sense that she and Farley would develop a sister-like connection throughout that first summer season filming the MTV actuality present.
“I gravitated to her probably the most, although, out of all the women as a result of she was a badass and I beloved her power,” the Messy Mawma wine founder says. “So I used to be like, ‘I like her.’”
Polizzi says her love for Farley was cemented when the latter agreed to skip her regular “G.T.L.” routine — fitness center, tanning and laundry — to unpack the punch the following morning over margaritas.
“I simply felt like I acquired beat up and I felt not OK, so I used to be similar to, ‘OK, it’s {the summertime}. Jenni, will you simply go and get a margarita with me?’ And often, she would do G.T.L.,” Polizzi remembers.
“She wouldn’t go to the boardwalk that early with me, however she acquired a drink with me. … It was loopy. Half my cheek was swollen. I regarded like a chipmunk.”
Nonetheless, Polizzi asserts she is “glad [she] acquired punched” as a result of it pressured the solid to develop nearer — although “on the time, it was terrifying.”
Farley tells us that MTV was keen to scrap the scene if Polizzi felt it was too painful to relive.

“Additionally, I really feel like everybody wished to tune into the present due to that. They had been like, ‘Oh my God, this little lady acquired punched in a bar … for no motive. We kinda wish to see it.’”
